Stay Home Quilt

Through the Stay Home Quilt project, people from all walks of life in Singapore, including 64 migrant workers and 80 volunteers, shared their experiences and feelings by sewing quilt patches during the COVID-19 period of lockdown. Individual patches were stitched together to form a quilt house that was displayed at the Tzu Chi Humanistic Youth Centre. Selected patches and stories behind each patch were also digitally exhibited and shared with the rest of the world on Instagram.

Led by Singaporean artist Jimmy Ong, together with Arts for Good Fellows Lin Shiyun (Singapore) and Francis Sollano (The Philippines), Stay Home Quilt is a heart-warming example of the power of the arts to uplift spirits and connect communities in times of crisis.
